Solving conflicts peacefully: a basis for democratic education

Living together in a democratic society can only work long-term if the members of this community are able to solve conflicts in a constructive and peaceful manner. School is the place where tomorrow’s citizens can learn and experience how this can be done.

In this section, educators and researchers from Laborschule Bielefeld present their approach which is based on Rosenberg’s non-violent communication. They share materials that can help students to practice the strategies and attitudes that are needed for solving conflicts.
